If you have an hour or two per week to contribute, we would love to hear from you! Whether you have experience with WordPress, Meta, Google, Hootsuite, Mailchimp, or even if you’re an aspiring writer, amateur photographer, or content creator, we welcome all skills.

On Sunday, the Grade D team travelled to NUIG Galway to compete for the All Ireland Club Title, and what a performance it was. The team faced some tough competition but came out victorious in the end, bringing the title back to Templemore.

Match Highlights:

• First Round: Templemore faced GLTC Galway, winning 5-2 after some hard-fought games.
• Second Round: GLTC Galway played Baltinglass from Wicklow, with the Wicklow team also securing a 5-2 victory.
• This set the stage for a thrilling final match between Templemore and Baltinglass.

The Final:

• After playing both doubles and singles, the score was tied at 2-2. It all came down to the mixed doubles.
• Templemore won the first mixed doubles match after a nail-biting 3-set game, and then, in another exciting 3-set battle, they secured the win and were crowned Grade D Club Champions!

The final score was 4-2, and Templemore returned home with the cup after an exciting and successful day of badminton.

Congratulations to all the players, coaches, and supporters who made this achievement possible. Templemore Badminton Club has truly made Tipperary proud!

• The overall winner will receive a once-in-a-lifetime fossil-hunting experience with palaeontologists from UCC!

A huge congratulations to Templemore Folk Group for their outstanding fundraising achievement, raising an incredible €24,528 for the Irish Motor Neurone Disease Association (IMNDA) following their recent charity concert.

The cheque presentation took place today, marking the end of an unforgettable event—one filled with music, community spirit, and overwhelming generosity.

🎤 A Night to Remember
The fundraising concert, held at the Sacred Heart Church, Templemore, was a truly special occasion, featuring Liam Lawton, Mark Cahill, and soprano Leah Barniville as headline performers. The Templemore Parish Folk Group, under the leadership of Anne Marie Johnston, delivered a powerful and moving performance, supported by talented young musicians and singers.

🙏 A Heartfelt Thank You
This achievement would not have been possible without the support and kindness of so many people, including:

• Fr. Conor Hayes for hosting the concert in the church.
• Pat Heffernan and the McAuley Parish office for their assistance.
• JK Brackens GAA Club for stewarding and assisting with parking on a cold and foggy night.

Community Spirit at Its Best

With membership of 288 we are the largest club in Tipperary. We have at least 1 team in all categories from U8s through to junior and senior ladies. Over time the club competed at the highest level in all age groups and have the honour of being A champions at U12, U14, U16 and U21.

The club continues to have great representation at county level, and we were very proud when our own Maria Curley was selected as captain of Tipperary Ladies Senior Football team for 2022. Templemore has always been represented on Tipperary County executive and currently Templemore’s Michael Towey holds the position of county chairman.
