📢 Ireland’s Fossil Heritage Team at UCC has officially launched this year’s National Fossil Art Contest!
After a hugely successful competition last year, young artists across Ireland are invited to take part in this exciting creative challenge with the theme:
🦕 “Irish Fossils ALIVE” 🦖
Who Can Enter?
🎨 Young artists aged:
✔️ Under 8 years
✔️ 9 – 12 years
✔️ 13 – 15 years
✔️ 16 – 18 years
How to Enter:
🖌 Create a unique art piece inspired by Ireland’s fossil heritage.
🔍 No prior knowledge of fossils is needed – just check out the Irish Fossils Gallery on the Fossil Heritage website for inspiration!
🏆 Exciting Prizes!
- The overall winner will receive a once-in-a-lifetime fossil-hunting experience with palaeontologists from UCC!
- Additional fossil-themed prizes will be awarded.
- The top entries will be invited to exhibit their artwork at the Glucksman Art Gallery, Cork, in June 2023.
